The NJIT baseball team broke an 8-8 tie with five runs in the top of the ninth and held off host UMass Lowell in the bottom half of the inning to win 13-10 and take the three-game America East series from the River Hawks.
The Highlanders led 7-2 before a UML comeback was completed with a three-run seventh inning to tie the game 8-8.
